Firstly, I have to apologize on behalf of myself and sister Mujahidah an Nafs for the lack of participation on this blog from us. As some of you may know Sisiter Mujahidah and Nafs hasn't been too well lately, she has taken a leave from her blog for, insha'Allah, a short period of time and I have been busy with a few things. Insha'Allah this blog will become more active in a few months time, but untill then it seems as if it will continue to be one randomly timed post after another insha'Allah. So anyways...
Today I had a conversation with a dear friend, instead of boring you with the conversation, heres what happend: this dear sister of mine was very upset becuase people were being mean, not only that someone shes close to lied to her. My friend was upset by this because it was blatant and she knew it wasnt true and at that time my friened needed help and the other person was not able to help her, or rather was, but decided not to.
So the 'other' person sounds evil huh? Hmm they might, but i think theres another way to look at this. See i belive we can learn many things from our friendships/relationships with everyone and anyone. One thing I've learned is that People come with Imperfections. I'm not saying this to point out the faults in others, because I myself have MANY MANY MANY imperfections. But the point isn't that sister this or brother that does this or that. The point is that we are human and we all err. We all have our imperfections. If we go around expecting to have create bonds of friendship but only with the MOST pious and faultless people, we may never become One Unified Ummah. We all have our faults, some may be stronger in one trait while others may be weak in that, and vice versa.
So the main point is.. Even if its somethng small or big, people come with imperfections, love your fellow brother or sister in Islam For the Sake of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, 'cuz when you think about it you and I are people too. Besides this way its easier to love everyone, accept everyone, be good to everyone, maintain ties Fisabilillah, strengthen the Ummah, and most importantly it gives us another chance to look into our hearts and correct ourselves; b/c when we begin to see the faults of others, we should quickly negate those thoughts, make istighfar and look at our own faults and make istighfar again, insha'Allah.
If anyone finds this post utterly useless feel free to email us at journeyends@hotmail.com. Please remember Sister Mujahidah an Nafs [and her family] in your duaas, may Allah grant her complete shifa'a insha'Allah. If possible please remember this faqir in your duaas too. Jazakamullahukhayran.
Allahumma sali'ala sayyiddina Muhammadin wa 'ala alay sayyiddina Muhammadin wa barik wa salim. Rawdhina billahi Rabba wa bil'islaami deena wa bi'Muhammadin nabiyaa, wa akhirud'duana anil'hamdulillahi rabbil'alameen.
